Richard Nicoll 2013 Spring/Summer

Richard Nicoll debuted meswear last season with a collection that felt like a huge sigh of relief.

"This is what I'm good at" it seemed to be saying,

Oh so well, Maybe too well.

"Reduction, industrial essentials, '80s No-Wave."

He's proved himself a past master at creating urban uniforms, nowhere more so than with the jumpsuits he himself wears.

Fall made you wonder where he'd gone.

Yigal Azrouel 2013 Spring/Summer

The Yigal uniform is little bit sporty, a little bit dressy, and a little bit leather all at once.

And that, in a nutshell, is what he showed. Looks that were skewing formal with a tuxedo jacket on top were pulled to the street with slubby sweat shors.

They spun a myth about shy-bound gods and goddesses and the mortal pilots

The Jungle of the Sky.

Jungle has loomed large over Kenzo as Leon and Lim have rebranded it, taking original seventies concept of Jungle Jap and putting animal prints, tiger heads, and a safari-ized version of street wear front and center.

Here, they veered. "We wanted to identify with the romantic side of Kenzo, and show a different side of Kenzo Takada that really for us feels like another part of the strory that we should be telling." aid Leon.
